16 & 17 June 2011 Work on drainage system...

I was thoroughly impressed with the driver of the concrete truck.  He had to get that big truck up our driveway and through our yard to get to the cabin.  In the picture you can see where he drove across the grass.   It was hot that day... probably in the upper 90's.  Those guys worked hard, too.  I'm skipping a lot of pictures, but the concrete truck got here about 8am and didn't leave til 4pm.
They did all of this and under the house they poured between 10 and 15 footings to level the house.
It looks really good.  At some point we'll get this all cleaned up and finished.  It's been two months since we had this done and it hasn't rained enough to see how the drains will work.  It's been over 100 degrees for 2 weeks or more.  We've been under a burn ban for a while.  The water department has notified everyone to restrict water usage... no outside watering until further notice.  So the green grass in the first photo sure looks nice!  I'm watering our yard and our neighbor's yard with their water... they have a well and we're on city water.
