Cool Morning

It was cool this morning so I put one of those Duraflame logs in the fireplace. It puts out enough heat to warm up the living room space.

Lights, trim, and fans...

Ok...  How does this fan look to you???  That's what I thought, too.  It really doesn't look right.  That's because when I bought it, the ceiling was going to be painted.  But there was enough stained beadboard for the whole room.  I intended to take it back and get one as close to the ones in the living room...  But I misunderstood about when Tommy, the electrician, was coming and didn't put a note on the box...  And my cell phone kicked the bucket, so he couldn't talk to me about what went where...  Does anyone need a white ceiling fan? I still have the box... and the instruction guide...  :-)  Not to worry.  I'll go back to Lowe's and look through their awesome fan collection.  I bet I'll find a Hunter fan that will be perfect!

This is the trim for the whole house.  Doesn't it look good???  I know... it's hard to tell much about a bunch of lumber tied in bundles.   Just wait til I show you pictures of the window trim!!!  I took these pictures on Monday, the 7th, the same day the electrician was here.

Oh...  I thought I had a picture of the fans in the living room.  This is only showing the recessed lights over the fireplace and windows.  Terry, the tile guy, got the tile laid around the hearth.  It's the same tile that in the floor of both bathrooms.  At some point we may have him come back and tile over the fireplace.  I think I'll clean it first.  The color looks good with the honey colored walls.

Drywall...

WOW!!!  The other side of the fireplace is almost done.  It makes it feel more like a real room. Just a couple of days ago, there was a 4' stack of drywall and green board in front of the fireplace.  Now, it's odds and ends of tile and stuff.  Having all the walls closed in with insulation and drywall is making it much warmer, too.

This is looking into the kitchen.  John, the carpenter, had his two helpers, Chris & Jackie, move all the tile, grout and other stuff into the bedroom yesterday morning...  He would have been helping, except I was there to ask about the dryer vent in the Utility Room.  We'd forgotten about that before tile was put on the floor.  John says he can fix that.  Right now, we have regular type washer & dryer.  We, David & I, talked last night about getting the stacked set to save space.  But we'll still need that dryer vent in the floor.  But, I don't have to make that decision right now...  I'll think about that tomorrow...
Here's the Sun Room with drywall.  Doesn't it look different???  There will be window seats along both walls.  I don't know what kind of storage there'll be under them, yet.  Tommy, the electrician, suggested having a raised platform/table in the corner.  He's got the cable run over to that corner for that.  There have been so many decisions to make, that it gets overwhelming.
Now, we're looking at the front door... of course...  John took that door out and re-set it.  We'd thought that when Jackie, the house leveler, got things straightened out, it would open and close better...  It didn't.  John fixed it yesterday before putting up the drywall.  It was nice to be able to open that door without having to use my shoulder to push it open.  Thanks, John!
